As per the Public Notice issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC) vide No. CND-20011/136/2025-COORDINATION-NMC dated 08/07/2025, Subject: “Advisory on Grievance Redressal Mechanism for Medical Students and Stakeholders”, the NMC suggested creating a dedicated portal on the College/University website for students, parents, staff, faculty and any other stakeholders to submit grievances swiftly online.
Rather than escalating all grievances to the NMC, it was advised to put in place a structured mechanism at three levels:
i) Medical College/Institute
ii) University
iii) DME/Health & Medical Education Department of the State/UT
The NMC advised constituting a Grievance Redressal Committee at each level. If a grievance is not addressed or resolved satisfactorily, the complainant may escalate it to the next level. If still unresolved after these three levels, it should finally be addressed to the NMC through the NMC Web Portal.
