PROCESS OF MBBS ADMISSION

     1. ALLOTMENT OF MBBS SEATS: All allotment of seats under Zoram Medical College is to be done through the Medical Counselling Committee of India (MCC) and the Technical Wing, Higher & Technical Education Department, Govt. of Mizoram. All queries related to the allotment process for State Quota and NRI Quota are to be taken up with this department. Only students who are allotted seats by the MCC and H&TE Department, Mizoram will be given admission to Zoram Medical College. DO NOT CONTACT ZMC DIRECTLY FOR ALLOTMENT OF SEATS.

     2. FEE PAYMENT: Payment of the admission fee must be completed before starting the process of Admission. See the step-by-step instruction for fee payment.

Admission Fee:

For State and All India Quota       = ₹ 96,850 (including Hostel Rent)

For NRI Quota                              = USD 20,000 + ₹ 30,000

     3. ONLINE ADMISSIONAdmissions process will be done online, but finalizing the admission process like the Medical/Physical examination and Submission of Documents will be done in OFFLINE mode (i.e. at Zoram Medical College).

     4. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: Following are the documents required for Admission. Make sure that you have a scanned / photocopy of the documents for uploading.

  1. Allotment letter
  2. High School Marksheet
  3. High School Certificate
  4. 10+2 Marksheet
  5. 10+2 Certificate
  6. Admit Card NEET
  7. Marksheet NEET
  8. Transfer Certificate
  9. Migration Certificate
  10. Character Certificate (from last institution attended)
  11. Aadhaar Card

Mandatory documents required for AIQ

 Additional Documents Required: 

  1. Passport-sized photo with white background.
  2. Signature of the Candidate on a whitepaper.
  3. Reservation category Certificate (for ST / SC students)
  4. Domicile / Residential Certificate (for State candidates)
  5. PWD Certificate for Persons with disability (if applicable)
  6. Gap period affidavit (if applicable)

Additional Documents Required for NRI Students:

  1. Document showing the Rate of Exchange at the time of Fee Payment signed by the Bank Manager.
  2. Documents claiming that the sponsorer is an NRI (Passport, Visa of the sponsorer)
  3. A duly notarized Relationship Affidavit of NRI with the candidate as per Supreme Court ruling WP(C) 689/2017.
  4. A duly notarized Affidavit of Undertaking from the sponsorer that he/ she will sponsor the candidate for the entire course.
  5. Embassy Certificate of the Sponsorer (Certificate from the Consulate)

Note: Relationship of NRI with the candidate should comply with the following conditions:

  1. He should be the nearest relation
  2. Definition of the nearest relation, the following relative having blood relations.
    1. Real brother and sister of father i.e. real uncle and real aunt.
    2. Real brother and sister of mother i.e. real maternal uncle and maternal aunt.
    3. Father and mother of mother i.e. maternal grandfather and maternal grandmother.
    4. Father and mother of mother i.e. maternal grandfather and maternal grandmother.
    5. First degree-paternal and maternal cousins.
    6. Such person should be NRI.
  3. Such persons should ordinarily be residing abroad.
  4. Such person should have looked after such student as the guardian of the student and evidence to that effect must have been produced before the committee by such person.


     5. MEDICAL INVESTIGATION: Medical Investigations should be done at any Government Hospital / Clinic for the following. Candidates should bring the results of these investigations at the time of Final Medical Check-up. Test results from any Private Hospitals / Clinic will not be entertained.

Investigations required:

  1. Chest X-ray (PA)
  2. ECG
  3. Complete Blood Count
  4. Urine RE
  5. Blood Sugar (Random)
  6. Blood Grouping


     6. DOCUMENT VERIFICATIONVerification of the Uploaded documents will be done at the college. Candidates will be divided into several batches. They must be present at the college with their parents or guardians.  Batch distribution and timing will be put on the College Website (Admission -> Admission News).

Candidates should bring the following. 

  1. Rs 200 for Online Admission Processing fee.
  2. Result of Medical Investigation
  3. Receipt of Fee Payment
  4. Original copies of all the uploaded documents


      7. FINAL MEDICAL CHECK-UP: A Final Medical Check-up will be conducted at the College by the Medical Board, ZMC at the time of Verification.


      8. AFFIDAVITS OF OATH-TAKING: Oath-taking by the candidates as well as their parents/guardians will be made and signed at the time of verification.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Admission will not be finalized unless the candidate:

  1. cleared all the Admission Fees.
  2. fully completed the process of Online Admission.
  3. produced all the required documents
  4. passed the Medical Investigations
  5. is fully deemed suitable for admission by the institute.

Candidates who fail to report or join the session within the stipulated date, without prior permission from the concerned authorities are liable to have their admission cancelled.
