PROCESS OF MBBS ADMISSION (2024-2025)

1. ALLOTMENT OF MBBS SEATS: All allotment of seats under Zoram Medical College is to be done through the Medical Counselling Committee of India (MCC) and the Technical Wing, Higher & Technical Education Department, Govt. of Mizoram. All queries related to the allotment process for State Quota and NRI Quota are to be taken up with this department. Only students who are allotted seats by the MCC and H&TE Department, Mizoram will be given admission to Zoram Medical College. DO NOT CONTACT ZMC DIRECTLY FOR ALLOTMENT OF SEATS.

2. FEE PAYMENT: Payment of the admission fee must be completed before starting the Admission process. The following amount should be deposited to the following bank account:

Admission Fee:

For State and All India Quota       = ₹96,850 (including Hostel Rent)

For NRI Quota                              = USD $20,000 + ₹30,000

3. MEDICAL INVESTIGATION: Laboratory test (within 3 months prior accepted, to be done at Govt. Hospital/reputed private laboratories) and reports to be produced at the time of medical examination/screening.

Investigations required:

  1. Blood Group
  2. CBC
  3. RBS
  4. S.Creatine
  5. Chest X-ray (to enclose copy)
  6. ECG (to enclose copy)

 

4. DOCUMENT VERIFICATION: Verification of Original documents will be done at the College. Candidates must be present at the college with their parents or guardians for Admission.  Admission timing (for State Quota) will be updated on the College Website (Admission -> Admission News).

Candidates should bring the following hard Copies: 

  1. Result of Six (6) Medical Investigations
  2. Receipt of ZMC MBBS Fee Payment
  3. Original copies of all documents listed below

 

5. FINAL MEDICAL CHECK-UP: A Final Medical Check-up will be conducted at the College by the Medical Board, ZMC at the time of Verification. Candidate must bring all the six (6) investigation results mentioned in No.3.

 

6. OFFLINE ADMISSION: Finalizing the admission process like Submission of Documents will be done in OFFLINE mode (i.e. at Zoram Medical College).

           Further instructions regarding document verification and Final Medical Check-ups will be put on the College Website (Admission -> Admission News). 


     REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: The following are the documents required for Admission. According to NMC norms, all these documents will be kept in the custody of the College till completion of the course. Make sure that you have a scanned & photocopy of all your documents:
  1. Allotment letter
  2. Class-10 Marksheet
  3. Class-10 Certificate
  4. Class-12 Marksheet
  5. Class-12 Certificate
  6. Transfer Certificate
  7. Migration Certificate
  8. Character Certificate (from the last institution attended)
  9. ST/SC/OBC Certificate (If applicable)
  10. Residential/Domicile Certificate
  11. Admit Card NEET
  12. Marksheet / Score Card NEET
  13. Gap period Certificate / Affidavit (If applicable)
  14. PWD Certificate for Persons with disability (if applicable)
  15. Copy of Aadhaar Card
  16. Six (6) Medical Investigation Results listed above

Additional Documents Required for NRI Students:

  1. Document showing the Rate of Exchange at the time of Fee Payment signed by the Bank Manager with seal.
  2. Documents claiming that the sponsor is an NRI (Passport, Visa of the sponsor).
  3. A duly notarized Relationship Affidavit of NRI with the candidate as per Supreme Court ruling WP(C) 689/2017.
  4. A duly notarized Affidavit of Undertaking from the sponsor that he/ she will sponsor the candidate for the entire course.
  5. Embassy Certificate of the Sponsor (Certificate from the Consulate).

 

Note: The relationship of NRI with the candidate should comply with the following conditions:

  1. He/She should be the nearest relation
  2. Definition of the nearest relation, the following relative having blood relations:
  3.  
    1. Real brother and sister of father i.e. real uncle and real aunt.
    2. Real brother and sister of mother i.e. real maternal uncle and maternal aunt.
    3. Father and mother of mother i.e. maternal grandfather and maternal grandmother.
    4. Father and mother of mother i.e. maternal grandfather and maternal grandmother.
    5. First degree-paternal and maternal cousins.
    6. Such person should be NRI.
  4. Such persons should ordinarily be residing abroad.
  5. Such person should have looked after such student as the guardian of the student and evidence to that effect must have been produced before the committee by such person.

 

7. AFFIDAVITS OF OATH-TAKING: Oath-taking by the candidates as well as their parents/guardians will be made and signed at the time of verification in the College.

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Admission will not be finalized unless the candidate:

  1. cleared all the Admission Fees.
  2. fully completed the process of Offline Admission.
  3. produced all the required documents.
  4. passed the Medical Investigations.
  5. is fully deemed suitable for admission by the institute.

Candidates who fail to report or join the session within the stipulated date, without prior permission from the concerned authorities are liable to have their admission cancelled.
